OUR STORY
Love is a Song that Never Ends
On the 26th of August, back in 2017, we locked eyes across a cramped & sweaty room. It was only Jessie's second night at NIU. Joe swaggered up & pointed to her Led Zeppelin
t-shirt. Just like that, a mutual love of music sparked something we didn't anticipate.
We could make it sound as picture perfect as we'd like, but that's not really our style. The truth is, Jessie got Joe's name wrong & spent the following week texting the wrong boy! Thankfully, with things quickly cleared up, our love story began to write itself while playing Super Smash on the N64 & sharing songs with one another.
Neither of us imagined those early days would lead us here. We're so grateful for the beautiful life we've built thus far, & we can't wait to share our wedding day with you all!

THINGS TO KNOW
Please join us for a laid-back celebration. Dress code is casual! Sundresses & florals would be perfect for the ladies, while a nice button up & khakis would work great for the guys.
We hope you bring your favorite dancing shoes, but please know, sneakers & sandals are encouraged! The Kern Campground quickly earned its name due to the giant field, gravel drive, & wooded paths.
If dancing isn't your cup of tea, don't fret, there will be plenty to keep you entertained. Lawn games will be set up near the tent, & we welcome you to explore some fun surprises in the woods! Later, we plan to have a bonfire—a little nod to the Summer Solstice.
We're hoping to throw a magical summer celebration as we enter this next phase of life, & we hope you can join!

I DO CREW
Meet our favorite party people!
Q&A
What should I wear?
Don't overthink it! No need to dress to the nines, but maybe don't roll up in jeans. Embrace the festival theme or put on your nicest summer fit. We want everyone to be comfortable, especially if it's a hot one!
When should I arrive?
Please try to arrive around 3 PM, as the ceremony is set to start at 3:30 PM. The bar station will be open for business upon arrival. Feel free to grab a drink before finding your seat!
What's for dinner?
Billy Bricks will be on site with their wood fire pizza oven. There will be six kinds of pizza to order & try, as well as salad, Italian beef & sausage, & appetizers! If you are gluten free, please indicate so when submitting your RSVP.
Can I take & share photos on social media?
Absolutely! We encourage guests to take pictures & videos while enjoying the day. However, we will be having an unplugged ceremony. Please keep your phones away & be present with us as we exchange our vows.
I can't make it, what should I do?
We'll miss you! If you can't make it, please let us know through the RSVP section of our website. We ask that RSVPs are submitted online by May 20th. Your response will help us finalize some important details!
Are kids welcome?
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event. We want everyone to be able to let loose with us! Thank you in advance for making arrangements to keep the kiddos at home.
Can I bring a date?
Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. If you RSVP on behalf of your partner, please indicate so on the form. However, if only one of you can make it, separate RSVPs should be submitted.
I still have questions, how can I get in touch?
